OAKLAND — A shootout Tuesday night in East Oakland left one man with multiple gunshot wounds and under arrest, authorities said.

No other people were injured, and other suspects are being sought.

The shootout happened about 7:42 p.m. Tuesday in the 5400 block of Foothill Boulevard.

Police said several people were involved in the shooting, which left more than 40 shell casings on the street. A residence and business were also hit by gunfire.

Authorities said the 40-year-old Antioch man who was arrested was captured on video being involved in the shootout.

He was wounded several times in the leg and got a ride to a hospital from another person, where he was placed under arrest, authorities said. He was later listed in stable condition.

Police have not yet determined a motive for the shooting.

Police and Crime Stoppers of Oakland are offering up to $10,000 in reward money for information leading to the arrests of others involved in the shooting. Anyone with information may call police at 510-238-3426 or Crime Stoppers at 510-777-8572.
